Privacy Policy

This policy describes information collected during a visit to Clark County Court Docket, how that information may be used, and the limited circumstances in which it may be shared. It applies to this private reference resource and not to the separate court, county, state, or third-party services reached through its links or search tools. By using the site, a visitor accepts the practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

When a visitor enters a name or case number in a search tool displayed here, the query is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. That provider processes the query and supplies any result. We do not store or log those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

If a visitor sends an email, we retain the message as needed to respond. It is kept within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, technical details of the visit may be collected automatically, including:

  • The IP address associated with the device
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and the time spent on each
  • The referring site, when one is available
  • Page-view timestamps

Cookies and Analytics

This site uses cookies, which are small files stored on a device. They help measure aggregate traffic, such as which pages receive visits and where visitors leave. Browser controls can block cookies, although some site functions may behave differently as a result.

What We Do With This Data

Technical and visitor information may be used for the following operational purposes:

  • Operating, maintaining, and improving site performance
  • Routing a search query to the provider that operates the selected tool
  • Understanding aggregate use of the site and its pages
  • Diagnosing and addressing technical problems
  • Displaying advertising that may relate to visitor interests

No Court-Record Data on File

This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Clark County court dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general routing information for court-specific sources, including the Court of Common Pleas, Municipal, Probate, and Juvenile channels. Ohio has no single public statewide party-name trial-court docket database; eStats reports caseload data rather than case dockets. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or profiles about third parties.

Third-Party Search Partners

Search boxes shown on the site are operated by outside companies. Information entered into those tools is governed by the provider's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules, not this policy. Review the provider's policy before submitting a query.

Links to Other Websites

The site links to clerk pages, court portals, Ohio court resources, and third-party search tools. Selecting a link takes a visitor to a different service, whose privacy policy then controls. Review that policy before providing personal information.

Some advertising partners may track activity across websites to deliver interest-based advertising. That tracking occurs on their systems rather than ours.

Who Might See Your Data

We do not sell personal data. Information may be available to:

  • Search providers that receive a query submitted through their tool
  • Analytics services used to evaluate traffic and performance
  • Advertising networks that serve advertisements on site pages
  • Government or law-enforcement bodies when required by a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

We use reasonable security practices for the information we collect. No internet-connected system can promise complete security, so we cannot guarantee that an unauthorized access event will never occur.

Users Under 18

This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will remove it promptly.

Your Data Rights

For court records, Ohio access is governed principally by the Ohio Rules of Superintendence, Rules 44-47, which distinguish direct court access from remote electronic access. Ohio Revised Code 2303.12 addresses Common Pleas docket and case-file records; Ohio Revised Code 2303.901 describes case documents and exclusions; and Ohio Revised Code 149.43 is the state public-records statute. Those court-access authorities do not make this private site a court custodian. For data we hold about a visitor, a visitor may:

  • Request a copy of information we retain about the visitor
  • Ask that inaccurate visitor information be corrected
  • Request deletion of visitor information we hold
  • Ask to opt out of specified data-processing activities

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy. A revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
